Right of Way and Structures - New Berlin

In later years, the New Berlin branch of the O&W became part of the Unadilla Valley Railway. As a result, I've included O&W structures and right of way in this page.

New Berlin

[station]
An early picture of the UV station in New Berlin. The station was originally built on pilings, and later was lowered onto a concrete foundation.

[station]
A view of the UV New Berlin station in later years.

[station]
The UV station was torn down in the late 1980's. All that is left now is the foundation and front step.

[Pump
This is the oil pump house.

[Train
One bay of the train shed still stands.

[Train
Another shot of the train shed.

[Coal
The roof had begun to collapse, as can be seen here. The building was later demolished.

[station]
This is the old Unadilla Valley Railway office building. It is now a private residence.

[station]
The New Berlin yard, looking East.

[station]
Though of indifferent quality, this is nonetheless an interesting shot of the New Berlin yard, looking North from the area of the engine house

[station]
The UV yard, looking north from the Unadilla River bridge.

[station]
The main line of the UV passed over Genesee Street on its way to interchange with the NYO&W. The tracks in the foreground is the UV; the bridge in the back right took the O&W across the Unadilla on its way to Edmeston.
